■♦- (Per Press Association.) London, May 30. The Daily Chronicle fnnd in aid of the wounded Greeks has closed. Ten thousand pounds were subscribed. The Athens correspondent of the Times says that a section of the Athens press regards a iupturein the concert of the Powers as likely. The Delyannis sounded a note of warning that in the event of European trouble Greece might bo left alouc in facing Turkey without aoy support. The Standard states that tho Duko of Sparta has been invited to attend the Queen's Jubilee celebrations. Athkns, May '11. The Powers have asked the Porte to instruct Edham Pasha to accept a purely military armistice of unlimited duration in order to allow peace negotiations to proceed. Reports from Crete state that tbo Moslems have burned Kalirar, near Heraklion, and killed fourteen inhabit ants. Great unrest prevails in the In land, aud reprisals are feared.
