Fatal Fire.

■0 (Per Press Association) Napier, This Day. A fatal fire occurred this morning at Clive. The House of T. C. Tennet %vas totally destroyed and Tennet burned to death, tho only other occupant was an employee named Campbell wlio was unaware that Tennet bad returned from town. Campbell was roused by the crackling of fire at one o'clock. He fonnd the front part of tho premises enveloped in flames, The police arrived twenty minutes later and fonnd Tennet's charred trunk among the burning embers, the head and limbs being totally gone. Tennet was ene of the local committee of the Flood Relief. Ho has spent the whole of his time since the flood in relieving the sufferers. He was well known and a highly respected settler in the district aid waa confidential clerk to Sainsbnry ard Logan, solicitors.
