KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL, IVJOTIOE is hereby given that it 1\ is the intention of this Council, at a meeting to be held on Saturday^ the fifteenth day of May, 1897, under the provisions of " The Rating Act of 1894," and of clause 148 of "The Counties Act, 1886," to make a General Rate of three farthings in the £■ on the whole of the rateable property within tbe Kiwitea County, as appearing on the Valuation Koll in. force for the year ending 31st March,. 1893. Also, that it is the intention of this Council, under the provisions, of clause 150 of " The Counties /i.ot, 1886," to make a Separate Race of three farthings in the £ over the whole of the rateable property within the Apiti and Rangiwahia B idings ; one halfpenny in the £ in tl\e Hau> tapu, Makino, and Otamaka^na Ridings ; and one farthing in the £in the Ongo, Waituna, and Eambolton Hidings.
