LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
(Per Press Association). Wellington, April 10. Legislative Council met at 11 a,.m. The Hon. R. J. Reeves moved a motion regarding a direct steam service with West Australia. The Minister said no efforts would be spared if the desired service could be satisfactorily established. The Hon. G. McLean saw great difficulty as nothing could come hack in exchange for our products. The motion was then carried. The Public Revenues Act Amendment Bill passed all its stases, as did the Wellington Sanitation Loan Bill, and at noon the Council adjourned until 2.80The Legislative Council met at 2 30, and at 4 adjourned until 2.30 on Monday.
