The English Criminal Law.
o (Per Press Association.) London, April 9. In the House of Commons the Criminal Law Amendment Bill, entitling aprisoner to give evidence, and allowing tbo wife and husband to be called upou to give compulsory evidence, was read a second time. The Bill applies to England and Scotland. Sir Charles Dilke said the Bill removed the last remains of barbarism.
