The Absconding Naval Officer.
(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, April 4. Craddock — Assistant-Paymaster of 11. M.5. Katocmba— who was arrested hero on a charge of absconding with funds belonging to the vessel, has been remanded to Sydney. This Day. A sum of £ 19Q0 lodged by Craddock with the Saf<3 Deposit Company, has been recovered.
