The rainfall for the past month was 2-81 ioobes as against I*3.'} inches for March, 1896. Bain was registered on 12 day's during the month, the heaviest fall on one day being 080 inches registered on the 25th. Th« maximum temperature was 82 degrees on the 19th and the minimum 32 degrees dnrinp the night of the 31st, the only frosty night during the present year. The mean temperature of the month at 9.30 am. was 58 32 degrees, the mean maximum 70*70 degrees arid the mean minimum 45 61 degrees. The corresponding means for March, 1896, were 61-87, 7238, and 49-12. 1 am, &c, Saml. Goopukherk. Feildiug, Ist April, 1896. Mr J. H.
