Birmingham Football Club.
I From Our Own Correspondent. The annual meeting of the Birmingham Football Club was held in Mr Harrison's Hotel on Saturday evening last. Mr Harrison, the President, in the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The balance sheet, which waa adopted, showed money to credit. The following members were elected : S. Bailey, S. Durran, W. Wishaw, and Liddle. The election of officers resulted as follows : —President, Mr Harrison ; vicepresident, Mr A. 11. Tompkins ; the office of captain was lefc until later on ; secretary, Mr A. Burne ; delegates to the Oroua Union, Messrs Matheson, Burne, Munro and Harrison ; general committee, W. Whishaw, E. Vitskey, F. Barlow, and J. Munro; match committee, Messrs F. Fanthorpe, F. Barlow and J. Munro ; vice-president to the Oroua Union, Mr Harrison ; vice-president to the Manawatu Union, Mr Matheson ; delegate to Manawatu Union, Mr F. Fanthorpe. The opening day was left for the committee to arrange. i Votes of thanks were passed to all the J officers for the past season. Before the meeting closed Mr Harrison was presented with a framed picture of the Birmingham football team. The presentation was made by Mr Harden, the secretary, on behalf of the club. Mr Harden referred to the great interest Mr Harrison always took in the club, and the generous support given to it by him. Mr Harrison thanked the members of the club for their kindness. It was a gift he should always prize as it would remind him of many happy gatherings. Mr Harrison's health was then drank, the company singing " For he's a jolly good fellow." The meeting then terminated.
