Licensing Elections.

The following nominations were re* ceived for the Palmerston electorate by Mr Wm. Matravers, Returning Officer : Frederick Pirani, Frederick Bryant, David Buick, William Thomas Wood, Richard Slingsby Abraham, Soloman Abrahams, Joseph Dixon, Andrew Gny, James Grace, James Stubbs. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, March 17. Rev. Van S tavern, G. E. Willeston, E. W, Mills, J. Young, and J. B. Harconrt were nominated for tho Licensing Committee. As no other nominations were received they are therefore elected. Tho aboye are the old committee. Christchurch, This Day. In the Christchurch, Avon, Riccarton, Lyttelton, and Ashley licensing districts* the committees were elected unopposed.
