Greece is intensely incensed against Russia for leading the European concert. Paris, March 17. The Senate by a large majority endorsed the policy of the Government with regard to Crete. London, March 17. The Athens correspondent of the Times states a conviction prevails that a general war is inevitable. The populace insists that Col. Vassos shall resist the Powers, and demands that Turkey be attacked if Greece be blockaded. The Daily News states Greece offers to confine Vassos to a point on the coast away from the insurgents if the Turkish troops are likewise dealt with. Both the Turkish and the Greek troops are to evacuate Crete in the event of the Cretans accepting autonomy.
