THE EGMONT FARMER'S UNION LIMITED. Hawera, March 11. We bold our supplementary Sheep Fair in the Glover Roads Yards Hawera on Tuesday the 9th inst. The yards were well filled with sheep of all classes and for any choice lines there was keen competition and the bulk of what were entered changed hands before leaving the yards. We quote — Rams from i to 4 guineas ; ewes, mixed ages, from 2s 6d to 7s ; 4 and 6 tooths, 6s to 8s ; wethers forward, 6s 8d to 7s 8d ; lambs shorn, 2s 6d to 4s Bd. There was a good muster of stock at the Manaia Sale Yards on Wednesday the 10th inst. The attendance was larger than it has been for some time past and bidding was good so that a large amount of business was done at the hammer or immediately after tbe sale. We quote - Forward steers. L 3 5s to L 3 10s ; 1_ to 2 year steers, L 2 5s to L 3 ; yearlings mixed, Ll os to Ll 15s ; weaners mixed, 10s to 19s ; dairy cows, L 3 10s to L 8 15s; fat cows, L37s6d to L 8 12s 6d ; store cows, Ll 12s 6d to L 2 ; lambs in wool 4s lOd. Messrs A. G. Tame and Co. report on their horse sale ou Saturday :— The entry was a small one, and, with a few exceptions, of no class. There was a good attendance, and buyers for the right sort of well-broken harness horses with some weight in tbem. We had a few draughts, all aged, and all sold, with one exception, bringing £20 to £22 ; light harness horses, all aged, L 5 to LB, and yery light. The others sold call for no special attention. Draughts are still sought after. We expect a consignment from Sydney shortly of young and medium draughts. Privately we have disjidsiid of a few good sorts of half draughts froni Ll4 to Ll6.
