Wheelmen's Carnival.

(Per Press Association.) Sydney, March 13. Tbe second stage of the N.S.W. League of Wheelmen's Carnival was completed to-day. Simpson, the New Zealander, secured a place in the Sydney Wheel Race, the final of which will be rnn next Saturday night. The challenge race over five miles between Lesna, the Frenchman, and Elliott, of Sydney, was won by the latter. The Frenchman, who conceded the colonial a lap, was splendidly paced by quads, trips and tandems. Elliott's pacing was not up to the mark, but he got home thirty yards in front of his opponent. Time, llmin 7 l-ssec. In tbe paced Ten-mile Tournament the heat between Gollen, of England, and Porta, of Italy, resulted in a decisive win for the Englishman. Time, 21min ssec. Tbe final will be run next Satur* day.
