v FURTHER OUTRAGES ON THE ARMENIANS A RAILWAY BRIDGE DESTROYED BY DYNAMITE. A NUMBER OF SOLDIERS DROWNED. (Per Press Association.) Athens, March 13. The delay in proclaiming a scheme of autonomy is impending the restoration of order in Crete. Russia strongly opposes the proposal for a plebiscite, and suggests the Powers should occupy Crete with 12,000 men in addition to those engaged in the blockade. Greece is mobilising her army and navy. Mr Gladstone sent a telegram to Grosce saying, " God help your effort to stop coercion and avert an English disgrace." Constantinople, March 14. Reports have been received of further grave outrages on the Armenians at Anatota. Sir Philip Currio demands the Porte to take immediate remedial measnres. A terrible outrage occurred near Solonica. The railway bridge was destroyed by dj-namite whilo a traiu conveying three thousand Turkish troops was crossing. Many of the unfortunate soldiery were drowned.
