WELLINGTON HORSE SALE.
Messrs A. G. Tame and Co. report on their borse sale held at Wellington on Saturday, as follows : — We had a good entry and a good sale. The entry, besides the ordinary one, included seven unbroken colts from Mr E. J. Riddiford, of Orong Orong, mostly half draughts, all unbroken and all good useful sorts, and just the class this market requires and can rapidly absorb. We cleared the lot, prices ranging from £14 10s to Ll7 for the better sorts, and Lll to Ll2 10s for lighter ones— one faulty one bringing £I—and1 — and a demand for more ofthe same class. We sold seven from Mauawatu of a much lighter class, and hero again the competition was good, nuggety sorts bringing up to £16, and light harness sorts £1 to £8. We also sold a pair of well-matched light buggy horses, unbroken, for £17, and a light unbroken colt, from Wairarapa, for Lll, aud the sale of a large number of ordinary sorts concluded a rather late sale. Draughts are still conspicuous by their absence, and likely to be, as they are almost unattainable.
