V.R.C. MEETING.
(Per Press Association.) Melbourne, March 5. Much interest is centred in the meeting of Newh&ren anal Aurum in the All-aged Stakes to morrow, whilst Abe Davis is confident that he will down the pair of them with Hove,. The first mile and a half of the Champion Stakes yesterday occupied 3min 15sec. The Argus quotations were— s to 4 Coil, 3 to 1 Newhaven, 6 to 1 The Officer, 10 te 1 Preston, 12 to 1 Valiant, 20 to 1 Fori and Bloodshot. The steeplechaser Galway has been purchased on Mr Gollan'a account. The price has not been disclosed. The horse will be despatched to England in a few days, probably accompanied by The Possible.
