The bulk of the wools offered were of poor quality and bad condition, being made up for the most part of stragglers' lots and late shorn clips, showing a considerable amount of feed and condition. As compared with last sales, prices show little or no change, merinos especially. Those in heavy condition were slightly easier, while cross-breds and half-breds free from seed and in good condition were in good demand and brought slightly more than last sale. Pieces and looks were fully up to last sale prices. Messrs Moritzson and Hobkin report : —Competition was brisk for fleece wool, and prices ruled about the same as last sale. Bellies and piece** however, were not so keenly competed fer F and prices for them were quite id to id per lb be* low those of the previous sale. The Mutual Apency Company of New Zealand, Limited, report having held their fourth wool vale to-day. The attendance was only a moderate one, but notwithstanding this the bidding was quick and lively.
