Concert at Rangiwahia.

[FROM OUfi OWN OOBBBBPONDBKT.I A concert was held in the Town Sail taßt Saturday evening, in aid of the Wealeyan Church Trust Fund. There wat a full house, and the items as rendered were very good. Mr Ftmberton wan voted to the chair, and the accompaniments were played by Miss Buckman (Apiti), and Mrs Boshier (Bangiwahia). Th« following contributed to the programme: — Mits R. Buckman (Apiti), songs, ' The cows are in the corn ' and 1 Potty back ' (encored) ; Miss Dobson (Buahine), song, 'The fatal wedding'; Miuses A. Clarke and B. Mofatt, duel, * The fisherman and hie child ' ; this wai the first appearance in public of these two ladies, who scored well. Mrs MeKenzie (M nngarimu) sang ' The blue Altatian mountains ' and ' A soldier stood on the battle field ' ; Mrs Boshier, song, ' The miller and the. maid'; Misses R. Buckman and Watson (Apiti), duet, ' Charity ' (encored) ; both these ladies' voices were heard to great advantage. E. Goldring (Apiti), songa, ' Little white cot by the mill ' and ' A mothers appeal to her boy'; Mr Feild (Apiti), recitations, 1 The stylish church ' and • A rifleman's adventures ' ; C. Kebbs sang ' Moor by tho bills ' and ' A flower from my angel mother's grave ' (encored) and ' The Dutchman ' ; trio, Misses B. Buckman and Watson and Mr £. Goldnug, ' Old rustic bridge' ; songs by Mr A, Boshier, ' Nora ' and • They all love Jack ' ; Mr F. Pemberton, songs, 'Three jolly sailor boys ' (encored) and ' The golden vanity ' ; Mr W. Tolley (Apiti ), songs, ' She is the only girl I lovo, 1 ' Sunshine and paradise ' (encored), and • I don't want to play in your yard.' During the closing ceremony, Mr Clarke, after according votes of thanks to all who had helped to make the concert a success, made feeling references with regard to Mr Mitchell's loss by the late fire. He proponed a vote of sympathy be accorded to Mr Mitchell in his misfortune, which was carried unanimously.
