Awahuri Football Club.

The Awahuri Football Club held their annual meeting on Saturday night. There was a large number of members present, Mr Rogers being voted to the chair. The balance-sheet showed a slight deficit, but after all outstanding subscriptions are paid, and the club receives the money owing to it by the Manawatu Rugby Union, this will be just about wiped off. Mr Rogers was elected president, and Messrs Tarrant, Cribb and Collingwood vice presidents. Mr O'Reilly was re-elected captain, and Mr Martini was elected vice-captain. The position of secretary and treasurer fell to R. McMurray. Mr O'Reilly and J. Bennett were chosen as delegates to the Union. The following were made a match * committee .'-Messrs Kerihama, A Steuart and Matheson, with the captain and secretary ex officio It was decided to open the season about the 17th of Maach. Mr Rogers made a donation of a ball to the club. A vote of thanks to the chairmon brought the meeting to a close.
