MOBE MASSACBES ANTICIPATED. (Per Press Association) Constantinople, Feb. 8. The Mohammedans have blockaded the Governor's palaco at Canea. Seven hundred armed Christians at Halipa confront a large body of Mohammedans. A thousand Christian refugees from Canea sailed for Syria. The police authorities in Constantinople have renewed their arrests of Armenians under the pretext of prevent ing mischief during the approaching feast of Bamadan. The Armenian Patriarch declares he will be unable to restrain the Armenians from revolt if the Sultan persists in his policy of deception.
