Breach of the Factories' Act.
o(Per Press Association). Wellington, February 5. A prosecution under the Factories Act was made in the Magistrate's Court to* day. Jonee and Aehdown, tailors, Lambton Quay, were charged with having em* ployed in tbeir factory four females after the hour of 4 p.m., the defendants having a permit to allow certain of their employees to work overtime to 9 p.m. Defendants were fined £5 and costs.
