WOODVILLE RACES.
The following results came to hand after we went to press yesterday after noon : — Hack Hurdles, If miles— Flirt 1, Billy 2, Much Ado 8. Also ran — Oddfellow, Ned Kelly, Toriki, Clieve, Kia Ora. Billj and Flirt went to the front soon aftei tbe fall of the flag, Much Ado next, and Toriki last After three-quarters of c mile had been traversed Clieve jumped inside the fence, and further on Toriki stumbled, but Boon recovered himself Flirt and Billy led into the straigbl together, followed by Much Ado, the first named winning by two lengths, Time, 3min 26 4 ssec. 'Dividend, £25 ss. Grand Stand Hack Handicap, 1^ iniles-Petroline 1, Calmariue2,Voltigeui 8. Also ran -Aphony, Nero, Marina, Slumber. A splendid finish between the placed horses, the judge's verdict being a nose victory, Voltigeur half a length away third. Time, 2min 17sec. Divi dend, £6 16s. Woodville Cup, 1£ miles — The Misei 1, The Brook 2, Rip Van Winkle 3. Alsc started— Lotion, King's Bowman, Moonraker, Swift. King's Bowman showed in front passing the stand, The Misei occupying a handy position with The Brook, the others close up. At the back of the course Lotion attempted to go up to the leaders but soon fell away. In tbe bend The Brook, Rip Van Winkle and The Miser were racing for the lead, but once fairly in the straight Hall shook up The Miser, who won easily by two lengths. Time, 2min 13 1 ssec. Dividend, £5 7s. Flying Hack Handicap, 6 furlongs— The Archer 1, First Blood 2, Surrey 3. Also ran— Sing Song, Roseleaf, Gunboat, Come Again, The Boatman. The Archer took tbe lead and was never troubled, winning by two lengths. Time, lmin 20sec. Dividend, £11 2s. Borough Handicap, 7 farlonga— The Miser 1, Loveshot 2, Return 8. Also ran — Maid Marion, Waterstone, Kalmea. Return and Loveshot raced together in front of tbe others with The Miser several lengths away. This order was maintained to the straight, when Love* shot shot to the front, but The Miser, who came fast on tbe outside, was not to be denied and secured a victory by a length. Time, lmin 31 2 ssec. Divi* dend, £3 18s. Welter Hack Handicap, 1£ miles— Voltigeur 1, Sylvanus 2, Sabreur 3. Also ran— Alpha, Thrush, Flirt, Turk. Voltigeur, Sabreur, and Sylvanus raced! together to the distance. A great race home then ensued between Voltigeur and Sylvanus, the former winning by a head. Time, 2min 25 2 ssec. Dividend, £6 ss. Electric Handicap, 5 furlongs — Titoki 1, King's Bowman 2, Forest Rose 3. Also ran— Haeata, Bavaria, Tapeoa, Bavaria showed prominently until the turn for home, when Titoki collared her and led into the straight. King's Bowman endeavored to catch the leader but was unable to do so, Titoki winning by a length. Time, Imins3-ssec. Dividend, £2 13s.
