The Seamen's Strike.
(Ter Press Association.! "Wellington, Jan. 30. The difficulty between the Seamen's Union aud the Wellington Steam Packet Company has been amicably settled by the latter conceding to the demands of the Uuiou iv respect to wages, overtime aud holiday rates. Consequently the applicatiou lodged with the clerk of awards has been withdrawn, The clause as regards Suuda\* sailiug has also been satisfactorily arranged. The Seamen's Union are now commuuicatiug with other companies asking if they are prepared to concede demands.
