Wool and Produce Markets.

The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. (Limited) report for the week ending 15th inst. :— Wool first series of London sales is fixed for 19th instant, concerning which we look for cable advice about 21st idem. During the week sales have been held at Auckland and Dunedin, Reports from the Utter centre indicate an advance of id per 1b in tbe better classes of this staple as well as in pieces and bellies ; but heavy earthy descriptions and merino were a shade easier. Locally, we have no business to report. All parcels are being held for the sale on 22nd iOßtant, at which there will be an exceptionally heavy catalogue presented to buyers, of whom we are assured there will be a much larger attendance than theretofore. Sheepskins -We have dealt with some large consignments during the week for which very satisfactory prices were obtained. The demand continues very active for all descriptions, notwithstanding the large quantity of scouring wool now offering. Quotations: Prime full- woolled crossbreds, well saved", s£d to 5f d ; good, 4£d to 5d ; medium, B£d to 4£d ; inferior and broken. l£d to 3d per lb ; dry pelts, 2d to 8d; green pelts, to 9d ; early shorn, Is to Is 9d each. Hides : There is a good market for prime stout, well flayed ox, but thin light hides are not in much request. We quote : Plump heavy ox, 3£d to 3£d ; medium, 2Jd to 3d; light, 2}d to 2|; damaged aud ■loppy, Id to 2d. Tallow is in light supply, with but poor demand. We quote: Prime mutton, 15s to 15s 6d; good mixed, 14s to 14s 6d ; inferior and badly rendered, 12s to 13s 6d per cwt. Wheat— There is no enquiry except for feed parcels, which continn© to meet ready sale. We quote : Good whole feed at 4b 2d to '4s 4d, ex store, sacks extra. Oats — Market quiet, with little business passing. For good stout feed we quote 2s 4d to 2s sd, ex store, sacks in. Chaff — Current quotations are : Prime heavy in oats, 60a to 62s 6d, ex wharf, sacks extra or returnable.
