Smith, of Colyton, reported himself to the Couleroncc. He has just returned from England, where he was taking a course of studies preliminary to entering the Primitive Methodist ministry. His health, however, failing he has arrived home. A letter of sympathy from the Conference was ordered to be sent him. Mr J. F. Rudd was granted leave of absence for the remainder of the session. Death and urgent business summoned the Rev. H. S. Potter to New Plymouth, and be was permitted to leave. At o'clock a deputation from the Women's Christian Temperance Union consisting of Mesdames Greenwood, Thompson and Cocker waited on the Conference. Mrs Greenwood said she was pleased to welcome the Conference, and to recognise iv them true friend's of their cause. Mrs Wright iv reply was delighted to hear the remarks made. This church was indeed at oao with the W.O.T.U. The 5 o'clock garden party given at the residence of Mr J. Gould was exceedingly.jjtaasurftble.
