Morse, of Adelaide, has written to the church newspapers, taking exception to a portion of tbe address delivered by Dr Sutnraarez Smith, Primate of Australia and Tasmania on the occasion of his opening ] the Anglican General Synod in Sydney last September, in whicb, referring to the Union of the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches bis Lordship said tho Anglican Church could neither brook the claims made by the Roman Church nor stultify itself by withdrawing those solemn serious protests against those false and unscriptural doctrines which the claims of Primitive and Catholic truth made needful. Archdeacon Morse says the Primate's address was an unfortunate mistake, and did not voice the church. _____
