The English wheat market is quiet, with a steady upward tendency ; the Continental also tending upwards, and the American changing a little for tbe worse. Califomian No 1 milling— Early shipment, 365, cf i. ; Russian cargoes, 335. c.f.i. London quotations for parcels of No, 1 hard Duluth, 36s isd. The Bradford wool market is improv. ing, but prices are unchanged. Svgar — German beet, steady, 9s oil ; Java, lis 9d. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, is quoted at 48s 4£d. Silver is quoted at 3s 5 IM-16 d per oz. Butter is iv slow demand, with about 2s decline. The weather is mild.
