Since the outbreak of the bubonic plague at Bombay, 325,000 people have left their homes and fled from the «ity. l)r Nansen, physician in charge of the native hospital at Bombay, has fallen a victim to the disease. From Bombay, the plague has npread to Kurrachen, the capital of the Kcinde, and a lar<?e seaport nnd manufacturing centre situated on a small bay to the west of the Indus river. The ravages have been so severe that many of the manufactures hava been J closed.
