The Engineers' Strike.
-• (Per Press Association). Sydney, This Day. No further developments have takes place of yesterday's difficulty. Tbe ' Secretary of the Engineer's Society 1 denies the statement that the executive instructed the New Zealand engineers to leave their employment. As a matter of fact he wrote instructing them on 1 no account to leave work unless instructions were cabled to do so. Tbe Secretary therefore fails to understand the meaning of the resolution carried by the New Zealand engineers, and considers that the resolution of the Union s.s. Compjjtay, expressing satisfaction at the supposed action of the engineers, was based upou false assumption.
