o Thp committee of tho Manawatu Cricket Association met at the Feildine; Hotel last evening. Present Messrs A. G. Carty (Feilding Club), E. Sandeman (Birmingham), L. E. Reade (Colyton), J. Coombe (Kongotea), and A. H. Tompkins (secretary). Mr Carty was voted to the cliair. Correspondence was read with respect to proposed matches with Wellington and Hawke's Bay teams, but which had to be abandoned owing to these Unions' fixtures with foreign teamsCommunications were also read with respect to a match with a team from Wanganui. at Palmerston, on January 22 and 23. — The secretary's action in connection with the arrangement of the match was endorsed, and it was resolved that Messrs Tompkins, Wither and Carty be a committee, with power to add to their number, to select a toam. Mr C. H. Burnett wrote suggesting that the Association should appoint umpires for a*JI championship matches, as is \ya3 more likely that such an arrangement would give greater satisfaction thau the present method of appointment. — It was decided to hold Mr Burnett's letter over for further consideration at the vest meeting. In consequence of the match with Wanganui the fixtures for the remainder of the season were re-arranged and are now as follows : — Jan. 16 — Cplyton y. Cheltenham, at Colyton. Jan, J6— Rongotea v. Palmerscon, at Palmerbton. Jan. 30 — Colyton versus Falmerston, at Palmer&ton. Jan, 80— Birmingham versus Rongotfa, at Feilding. Feb. 6 — Cheltenham v. Palmerston, at Colyton. Feb. 6— Birmingham yersus Feiiding, at Birmingham.
