The Engineers' Strike.

(Per Press Association). Sydney, This Day. Another complication has arisen among the engineers. Huddart Parker's Company engaged several non-union men to work their Hobsou Bay steamers priqr to the truce being fixed up. The Company hold they must honorably observe any engagement made prior to the armistice, and decline to discbarge the non-nnion men. The engineers have called out their men and possibly some difficulty may be experienced in getting tbe Anglian away to day for Auckland. The Engineers' Association made a strong remonstrance with the Owners' Association on the subject, and this may render futile the steps taken to secure a conference.
