Won by a length. Time, lmin 20sec. Dividend, _7 14s and £3 14s. Shorts Handicap, 5 furlongs -Flying Shot 1, Carrick 2, Sedgebrook 3. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 4sec. Divi dends, _2 12s and ±1 Bs. Consolation Handicap, 1 mile — Tuhiwai 1, Kalmea 2, Undiue 3. A splendid finish, the field passing the post almost together. Time, lmin 49sec. Dividends, £2 6s and _1 2s.
