o (Per Press Association) Melbourne, Dec. 10. An engineer named Hannan was the victim of a shocking outrage at Richmond, He was drinking with a woman named Bell and quarrelled over some money she gave him. Hannan went tc sleep and was awakened by finding himself enveloped in flames. His clothes had been drenched witb kerosene and he was frightfully burned about tbe neck and face. His beard and hair was singed off to the roots. Bell bas been arrested.
