Cycling News.
The committee of the Feilding Cycling Club met at the Feilding Hotel last evening, Mr G. "W. Fowles presiding. Mr H. C. Tarrant was elected a member of the Club. The resignations of Mr F. Mackenzie and Mrs and Miss Mackenzie, as members of the Club, were received, they having left for Auckland. Their resignations were accepted with regret, and a vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Mackenzie for his kindness in havine allowed the Club to use one of his rooms for the purpose of holding meetings. Mr G. E. Johnston was appointed treasurer for the coming race meeting. It was decided to hold a floral parade at a date to be arranged. Last evening a challenge road race was held between Messrs J. H. Mingins, H. C. Tarranfc, and J. Watson. Tbe course was from Lee's Line, on the Awahuri road, to Manchester Square. The three competitors started from scratch. The race resulted in a win for Mingins by about ten yards from Wat son, Tarrant being about the same distance from Watson. Messrs F. Hunt aud H. JLyon, of Martou, compete in several big races at Wellington on Saturday, and also in Christcrmrcb. on December 17th. At tb.e latter place a .£3O prize is offered for a two- mjlc raGB.
