Nikau Notes.
Great indignation is expressed at the neglect of the " Powers that be " to provide a polling booth here, as on former occasions. Many of the electors refuse to go to Colyton to poll. Mr Bailey held a meeting here on Saturday night nnder somewhat trying eirenmstancea. The teacher, unaware that a meeting was to be held in the school, was away, and as it did not occur to those present to obtain the duplicate key from the chairman, the meeting had to be held in the shelter shed. A vote of thanks was accorded tbe speaker.
