At the boating accident on Sunday, it is pretty certain from what was seen nnd the circumstances under which Wordsworth wris discovered that he sacrificed his life in the attempt to save Miss Oowhnrst. Being quite at home in the witer he could otherwise have got ashore. The inquest resulted in a verdict that the Waigougora fatality was the result of an accident. AUOKLANK, NOV. 30. The Dank of New Zealand forwarded by the Mariposa this morning 11,8740za o'i cold valued at £50,100. Rotorua and Te Mau, Taupo, are again active. A large quantity of smoke was ejected to a great height obscuring both Ngaruhoe and Ruapehu, A native named Te Wiremu Matini was engaged digging sulphur near Tutere when the crust gave way, and he was precipitated into a large cavity of boiling water. Another native named Kibi Awbinia, similarly employed close at hand, beard the shrieks of his unfortunate companion and dragged him oat by the hair of the bead.
