The Premier in the South.
o (Per Press Association). Dunedin, Nov. 27. Tho Hon R. J. Seddon addressed an immense audience to-night in Wright and Stephenson's sale3'ards. Previous to tho address tbe Premier was presented with addresses from tbe Workers' Political Committee and tbe Women's Franchise League. In the course of his remarks, Mr Seddon spoke against the Russell Stout-Rolleaton- Hutchison combination, whose one object was to kick out the Government, but be was satisfied the people of this country would not support such an unholy and wicked alliance The speech was on the lines of that delivered at Kaiapoi. Tbe address which lasted over 3 hours, was listened to very attentive!}', and although there was interruption at times, it was quite drowned in the applause. At tbe close a vote of thanks for tbe address and the utmoot confidence in the Government was carried unanimously, with cheera for the Premier and Government »md Mr Ward, az>a groans fo* Mr Seobie Mackenzie.
