, \z — — The committee of the Feildiug Cyc liug Club met last evening. Mr H. C. I Gapper presided. Various routine business "was dealt with and the programme for the annual race meeting on January 22nd, 1897, was arranged. The pro- *" gramme, which includes nine bicycle ' races (including a ladies' race) and three y pedestian events is as follows : — One ' iuile maiden race, half-mile open, three ' miles open, two miles open, one and a half miles roadster race, one mile President's handicap, mile open, oue mile 1 consolation ; 100, 220, and 440 yards flat. " The amount of money proposed to be i given away in prizes is i' 32 8s for eye- ' ling events and j£l2 10s for the pedes- » trian events, or a total of .£4l 10s. It was arranged that the club riders who 1 intend taking part in the lantern parade > on Tuesday evening next should meet at ■ the secretary's residence King street, I at 7.30 sharp on Tuesday evening next. < . The Feilding Brass Band, with their j L usual kindness, have consented to play in the Rotunda on the evening of the . parade to afford an additional attraction, j It was resolved that a hearty vote of r thanks be accorded to the Feilding Band \ for their kindness. i It was decided to hold a special general i meeting of club members this evening to ! finally deal with the programme.
