— o A meeting will be held in the schoolroom, Stanway, on Thursday next, at which those interested in the candidature of Mr W. A. L. Bailey for tlie Rangitikei seat, will be requested to form a committee to secure his return to Parliament. Mr Lethbridge will address the electors at Colyton this evening. There was a large attendance at Mr Lethbridge's meeting at Makino on Saturday evening. He was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. Mr Bailey will address the electors at Rangiwahia on Tuesday, Apiti on Wednesday, Birmingham on Thursday, and Cheltenham on Friday. (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, Nov 15. The Premier addressed a crowded meeting at Kaiapoi last night. The speech, which lasted three hours and fifty minutes, was mainly on the lines of the Hastings address. The meeting was very enthusiastic and at the close a vote of thanks and confidence in the Government was carried almost unanimously, and the meeting closed with cheera for Mr Seddon.
