Nelson of Toinoanu, struck a rai heavily at the last jump while ridini Satanella and broke his right leg. C. M Lewis, owner and rider of Monk, broki his collar bone the horse atumbliDg ove the hurdle. Dunedin, Nov. 12. Jas. Miller, commission agent, droppe: dead in the street at 4.30 this afternoon He was seen to throw up his hands an< fall down, and on assistance reaching bin he was found to be dead. He is kcowi to have suffered from a weak heart. Hi was about 70 years of age, and leaves i grown up family. His wife is at presen absent in Napier.
