Epaulet 7to 1 (10 to 1 wanted). The Possible, Culverin, Quiltiri 10 to 1. Bellicent 12 to 1. Ngatuere 14 to 1. Voltiguer 15 to 1 (20 to 1 wanted). The Shrew, Captive, 20 to 1. Mahaki, Lotion, Black and Red, 25 to 1. Casket, Defiance, 33 to 1. After a warm day light rain from the south-west set in this evening;, but does not appear likely to continue. The town is rapidly filling with visitors for the carnival week. This Day. In the course of hearing a charge of vagrancy against a member of the spieler fraternity the police stated there were at least one hundred foreign thieves chiefly from Sydney at present in the city. Chief Detective Henderson says he never before knew such a full congregation of the dangerous class in any place in the colony. The weather promises to be beautifully fine for the carnival week.
