The Lord Mayor of London proposes to raise a national fund of £1,000,000 to extinguish the debt on the hospitals. The Australiaa Meat Company has mado a contract with the War Office to supply 240,0001bs of corned beef. The Chinese Government has ordered two cruisers from the Armstrong firm and iour torpedo boats from Germany.
