NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order was adopted at a special meeting of this Council on Saturday, 17th October, 1896 ; and it is proposed to confirm the same at a special meeting of the said Kiwitea County Council, to be held on Wednesday, 25th November, 1896 :— Proposed Special Order : That this Council, under the provisions of the " Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and under or by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hands of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, dated the 18th day of June, 1894, authorising the Rangitikei County Council to construct a Bridge over the Rangitikei River on Vinegar Hill Road, and apportioning the cost of the said bridge; and, finding the sum already borrowed insufficient to provide the share required for the said work, borrow a further sum of £400 for the purpose of providing share ot additional cost of erecting a Traffic Bridge over the Rangitikei River on ! Vinegar Hill Road, and making approaches thereto and all other work necessary for completion of said bridge in accordance with above-mentioned Warrant, and that a Special Rate of onfr 100 th of a penny in the £ be made upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands excepted) within the Kiwitea County for the purpose of providing interest on above Loan of £400, to be borrowed under " The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," such rate to be annually recurring for 26 years, and payable in equal half-yearly instalments on the Ist days of April and October in each year.
