"VTOTICE is "hereby given that it J3I is the intention of the Manchester Road Board, at a meeting to be held on Saturday, 7th day ot November, 1896, to confirm the following Special Order : — That this Board resolve that a Special Rate of one sixth of a penny in the £ be struck on the rateable value of the following Sections, viz. : — 47,48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, and 70, sab-division C ; 30, 81, and 82, sub-di vision H ; 16, part 18 (4), part 15 (1), part 16 (6), part 15 (5), subdivision 0, and Sections 161, 168, 169, Mugby Junction, in the Manchester Road District, to be called No. 5 Special Rating District, for the purpose of providing interest on a Loan of £150, to be borrowed under the Looal Bodies Loans Act, 1886, and the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886, and their amendments, for regrading and widening formation of Proctor's HiU, on the Bunnythorpe Road, such rate to be annually recurring for 26 years, and payable at the Board's Office in two equal instalments on the first day ot April and October in each year. NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order was adopted at a special meeting of this Council on Saturday, 17th October, 1896 ; and it is proposed to confirm the same at a special meeting of the said Kiwitea Coanfcy Council, to be held on Wednesday, 25th November, 1896 :— Peoposed Special Order: That this Council, under the provisions of the " Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," and under or by virtue of a Warrant issued under the hands of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, dated the 18th day of June, 1894, authorising the Rangitikei County Council to construct a Bridge over the Rangitikei River on Vinegar Hill Road, and apportioning the cost of the said bridge ; and, finding the sum already borrowed insufficient to provide the share required for the said work, borrow a further sum of £400 for the purpose of providing share ot additional cost of erecting a Traffic Bridge over the Rangitikei River on Vinegar Hill Road, and making approaches thereto and all other work necessary for completion of said bridge in accordance with above-mentioned Warrant, and that a Special Rate of one- 100th of a penny in the £ be made upon the rateable value of the whole of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands excepted) within the Kiwitea County for the purpose o providing interest on above Loan of £400, to be borrowed under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," such rate to be annually recurring for 26 years, and payable in equal half-yearly instalments on the Ist days of April and October in each year.
