(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, Oct. 27. The return from the Ettrick Dredge was 240z of gold for the week. At the annual meeting of the Company the secretary stated that he had received through a Christchurch firm an offer from a Home syndicate to purchase the Company's property. The shareholders authorise fcbe directors to sell the property, bat not for less than £15,000. Auckland, Oct. 27. Gold, it is reported, has been found at Whangararu and some fonr special claims have already been applied for. Whangaruru is on the coast opposite Puhipuhi, from which it is distant about nine miles. Gold bad been found in the creeks there for some time past, and the nature of the present discovery has not yet been made trablic.
