Coin and bullion decreased .£97,000, the total amount held by the Banks being 17,404,000, equal to 4s lOijd in the £ on total liabilities, as against 4s lid last quarter. The movements generally point to a revival of business and a fuller use of banking resources. The prize sheep exhibited at the recent Sheep Breeder's show were killed and after being frozen were sent to England, where they averaged 3^d per lb. Adelaide, This Day. In the Legislative Assembly notice of motion was given to suspend the duty on wheat and oats for one year. A fund has been started to assist the farmers who suffered by drought. Newcastle, This Day.
