Rowdy Proceedings at the Imperial Institute.
(Per Press Association.) Ljondon, October 27. Mr Draper, secretary of the Transvaal Geological Society, lectured at the Imperial Institute this evening. A minori ity of the Fellows objected to his being allowed to lecture, owing to having sided > with the Boers over the Jameson raid. i Throughout the lectnre be met with great interruption and was continually called "traitor," "cur," and "ruffian." Almost all the evening he was subjected to insult and was frequently hissed. The expulsion of the ringleaders from the membership of the Institute is imminent. Mr Frances Hart, of Australia, was prominent among those who protested against the line of action taken by the minority during the evening. Flags were way.e4 and cheers given for the Empire and Jameson, A melee was narrowly averted.
