The Synod and the Drink Question-
(Per Press Association.) Chbistchubch, Oct. 21. The liquor question formed a subject of intermittent debate in the Synod for several days. Eventually the following motion was agreed to : — " That this Synod is not at present in a position to express an opinion on the merits of any system of Government monopoly of the liquor traffic and requests His Lordship the Bishop to appoint a commission to gather information with regard to the Gothenberg and other similar systems and report to the Synod at its next sitting." _____ __
