Miraculous Escape from Death.

■ w (Per Press Association.! Melbourne, This Day. Two miners named Grant and Mclean had a narrow escaDe from death at the Inverall mines. As they stepped into the lowering bucket the rope became detached and they were precipitated a distance of 234 feet, but they were uninjured. The rope happened to be a little short and it checked just before the cage reached the bottom, thus saving the men from being d ashed to pieces.
