Attempted Escape of a Prisoner.
[Per Press Association] Napier, This Day. A prisoner named Samuel Couseni, a young man, sentenced last week to twelve months for vagrancy, attempted to escape as the prison gang was leaving the gaol, this morning, for the quarry in Coote road. He succeeded in getting well away, but after half an hour's pursuit was captured by a warder in a hay loft.
