fper Pre*s \ ssociationT Wanganui, This Day. A mid day yesterday, a bouse owned by Dr Grace, on bis property three miles i lulu tmvu, occupied by bis manager, aas burned down. The fire occurred in the kitchen through a faulty chimney. Fart of the furniture was saved. The house was insured for £400, and tbe contents for £50 in the National. Dunedin, This Day. A fire broke out at 5 a.m. this morniu<i in the Eureka restaurant. Tbe building was gutted. Cooke aad Matchews, printers, on the same floor, had their stock and machinery destroyed. Stathams and Bamfield's offices above were badly damaged. The building is owned by Kempthorne Prosser. Insured j£2ooo Standard, restaurant jEIOO South 1 British. The policy was only taken out the day before yesterday. Cooke and Matthews £750 Standard, estimated loss £400 ahove ; Statbam's £30 in the New Zealand.
